I had a few different TVs on the lookout for a good 32-inch HDTV, and after the exchange of a few Vizio finally ended stick with it. Television is without attracting attention, are attractive, and the only time the notification lights active, is when the TV is turned on when a tiny white LED lights in the lower right corner of the camera. There are a lot of ports for its size (including 3 HDMI turned on) and it is light enough to transport- It can easily be moved by one person, and feels pretty solid.

The picture quality is good (what you 720p a), and it is quite easy to configure. It has a digital tuner, so if the TV air find what you need an antenna and you're golden. The medium is relatively easy to implement – just drag and pull the four included screws. The speakers are good, but it is well worth the long term, you plug it into a setexternal speakers.

The menus are relatively easy to see through are nothing special. Ease of use is probably a 3.5 out of 5 for what is and the remote control is not possible – that it has too many buttons for a TV remote control. However, it uses AAA batteries and is pretty easy, which is nice.

Overall I recommend this TV to anyone looking for an HDTV flat screen 32 ". It is beautiful, is a beautifulImage and is generally a good TV.

I have to I like this much tv bedroom. It for my class looks like and picture and sound are very good.I say with the opinion of the development of sound with the image Plant presets.I hope that they just leave it the same for presets.I love all the parameters of the personal image option. With this setting, I can get the picture I sound like I want time.As even if you go to a picture of factory presets, but the sound ischanged.Except for such a thing, I love TV on set. There is a little light shines in dark scenes by the four corners of the screen light up but I was told that it's had nothing to fear about. It not really think that noticeable, if you live long it.Anyway Philips. They are looking one of my first choices for the LCD TV. Great TV – E. Bass – Peoria, IL
I bought this TV with a PS3 and Philips 1000 Watt surround. When I bought, I was a well-run television motion, which the one who saw caught my attention. HD / Blu-Ray looks amazing on him and he looks much better in my opionion LG friends who paid a few hundred more.

The remote control is simple and clear. Like most remotes I want to have some background lighting.

The only problem I had with the TV was when I tried to connect to the surround PS3and television, surround sound not his PS3. I ran all HDMI cables. The sound would play, but cut. I talked to Philips about this and she beat a Digital Coaxial cable, which resolved the problem.

Overall I am very happy with this TV and Philips. Philips customer service was great.

Good for the size/price – R. Aull – Hawley, PA USA
In all honesty, I can not really complain that I do as a Christmas gift from my brother-brother. We made a trip to a big box retailer, because it would be gift cards to be used for the purchase had. I already have a Panasonic 50 "plasma I love the show and this model is now in my room.

I've always preferred mainly because of the lower LCD over plasma blacks. Business was not much of a choice which I assume because they have sold the mostits shares during the holiday season. We went to 28, where he appeared to be remnants. Being that I had no idea how much he wanted me to just go way to check on him what looked like price range / model it.

Personally, I would be a good Vizio 42 "plasma have preferred, but I am more than grateful for this LCD. We paid 550 but I know theres places online selling it for 500 which is excellent for an LCD 32". My computer screen 24 "was $ 500 just eight months! In the same direction I saw the 42 "Vizio plasma for $ 700, but I did not push my luck with my brother.: P

The TV itself has three HDMI inputs, one S-video on the page, and I think, two component inputs. At the moment I have connected via component cables, that the HDMI cable in the mail and on the road. The support is brilliant and beautiful, but that is not at all adjustable. The sound is less on the side and built in surround sound mode is not much to add punchthe sound at all.

I never bothered to sound much as you can always buy a good 5.1 Setup, and type never concerned you can always buy a cheap receiver to add tons of extra entries. The bread and butter must be the picture quality, and I was not very impressed with this series. It is very sensitive and pixalation a good amount of spirits in the fast-moving objects. SD channels do not seem very good at all, even when upconverted by my decoder. HD content looked good, butnot nearly as clear as my plasma. The color reproduction is decent, if twisted, and even using a predefined color modes are OK.

All offers Sport, Movie, Game, Custom, and Power Saver modes to quickly adjust the color. Just be aware that they also have the effect audio levels! This is the first TV I noticed that when changing modes of color audio level as well. A feature that I always like games with Philips is the criterion of economic pressure, advertising and other sources claimedBlow up the volume on their own. If this function is activated all sources will remain the same. Thats a line I have never understood how it does not until I have some ads and would almost blow my eardrum was!

The zoom seems to work quite well and they offer a few ways (I think 5 or 6 options), how to stretch the 4:3 images. I found the best option for the super-zoom option, because it is only a very small piece from the bottom of the screen and influencesstretch the image to make all look fat. They also have a auto mode that the TV the best option after I come in. souce then noticed when I switched from using select you can use a S-video to component cable I could not choose between the zoom modes on the TV. All options are grayed out except for the widescreen option. It was good because my cable box is also leaving the option of HD content in its native widescreen and it stretches 4:3 content to fill on the screen. Ita good job, but the SD content is stretched every look short and stocky. I liked the possibilities range from the TV the better it is unfortunate that this option when you lose, component or HDMI.

The remote is very easy to feel and function. It is not very comfortable to hold and the buttons are declared inconvenient. It also has three buttons on the only colors that are difficult, are marked to see at night. Fortunately, I managed my program remote connection boxesControl basic functionality of the TV.

Overall, I am glad that I upgrade to a larger room, I would just like the picture was the best display of SD content. The pixelation and ghosting really is reinforced on the SD channels. I want the media to be updated at least at the top and bottom. If it were me, I would spend the additional $ 150 and get a nice 42-inch plasma, but if the constraints of money or the size of a problem that should do nicely.

Superb TV – after 1 year of use. – medstudent25 – the South
I bought this TV for Christmas '08 to use for my wife in our bedroom. After a year I have to say only good things.

I have some pretty good research on this product, after they still owned a Panasonic 42 "plasma, I know that there was another Panasonic 37" LCD for Christmas, and both are spectacular. Hue / green tint problems in the "most helpful negative review" play not mentioned by the TV. The colors pop, the screen is bright andThe sound is very good. If I was sitting 3 inches from the television with high-tech gadgets color calibration, I could some imperfection? I guess so .. But would it be?

For daily use, this TV has a sharp image, light years above the previous CRT memory. If you have a source of Nice (such as DirecTV HD boxes), have a TV of this size is superb in 720p. There is simply no need for 1080p, if you get over 37 "- 42". The listed price is now a flight. Ispent about $ 300 more than a year ago.

Overall, another TV-chip Panasonic.

Customer Reviews

I have this Sharp Aquos 32-inch LCD TV for more than half a year and I continue to be enthusiastic. However, consumers should focus on their specific needs because their needs do not fit mine.

Resolution –
First, there is a screen resolution of 720p. But, as a 32-inch screen, this resolution is more than enough. Viewing distance is important with this TV. I have it at the end of my bed, placed about 10 meters from where I used to consultTelevision. The picture is amazing that the distance. However, when I at the foot of my bed (only 3 feet from the screen) sit, I see a lot of pixelation. There are several websites, the correct viewing distance for each screen size and resolution can be calculated. I recommend the use of these calculations in choosing an LCD, since most shops are these "small" HDTV on the islands, where you are at least three feet from the screen, adding a space distortionPerspective on how the screen is to look in your home. I suggest to find a place where you can stand the correct distance away from the screen to rate the image quality.

Contrast ratio –
While the Sharp Aquos may have a lower contrast ratio than its competitors, please note that most of their competitors' dynamic contrast ratio "as the baseline. For those familiar with digital imaging, which means that if the "dynamic" wide use of the images are"Extended" (with the darkest pixel in contrast to the lighter tones). I must admit that the Sharp Aquos is a function of dynamic range terrible. Like most dynamic range LCD TV settings, it's harsh light of each color (that would be nice if you watch football and want to see the astro-turf greener than green, but it is not visible pleasant when you see a drama or Action film). The advantage of the Sharp Aquos is that the parameter "standard", however, exponentially morethat the dynamic "setting is one of its competitors. It offers an experience in true color (more like a CRT TV suitable for HD) is similarly without Hyper contrasting colors and tones of HDTV.

Modes –
The Sharp Aquos has a half-dozen pre-set display modes, including the "standard" (which I prefer for most applications) and "Movie" (which is the gentle tones of gold, you expect an experience of theater, like the old Kodachrome ). Each presetcan be changed with options recorded in some detail, as the preferred mode for a single entry. This means that you refine the movie for your own preferences, then save the default setting for watching DVDs. If you pop in a DVD, a preset will automatically be used. But if you go to watch cable TV, is the Sharp Aquos automatically to any other form of representation chosen to associate with this entry, you must change. There are also "User"(Custom mode), and a game "(High Contrast) mode, and the two other" dynamic mode functions.

There is also a unique opportunity to OPC (which must be registered as a preference for a display mode above). He reads the ambient light in the room and adjusts the LCD backlight accordingly. I like this because it saves energy and adds hours / days / months in the life of your TV (the bulb will burn eventually – faster if it is at its maximumSetting all the time without OPC). In fact, movies in a dark room noticed me, that I am blind to the brightness of the screen, if I do not run not on investment funds. That is, can be as wonderfully bright screen (although does not have all the time).

Admissions –
I have a HD-DVR connected via Verizon FIOS with an HDMI cable. Verizon sent HD 1080 and the standard-definition television 480th But this TV displays only 480 (native) or 720 (sub-sample ofVerizon 1080). The Sharp Aquos is able to quickly detect and convert any signal to the proper resolution in approximately 1.5 seconds switching between Hi-def and standard-definition channels (480-1080) and provides incredibly clear images of HDTV signals to the test. I've always been amazed at the HD picture on this TV, like action movies and television shows with a quick motion.

Note that most cable companies to broadcast HD 720(The native resolution of the TV), so you do not need Verizon / Fios to achieve this quality.

I connected a PS2 to TV. When I connect to the "standard composite video cable (the" Red, White and Yellow cables), it was terrible. But even as a PS2 hanging around "Component" cable video-games are almost like film – . I was very impressed.

I have a regular DVD player (not in the sample), combined with theSharp Aquos of "component" video cable. The result is exceptional, no problem.

I have also connected to my iPod Classic in this TV with the composite cables, iPod (available online, but almost all of the cables are sold separately). For the sample videos (iPod videos, which were intended exclusively for the iPod's screen), these images under the normal value on the AQUOS HDTV have been. bought for HD video through iTunes, the image on the Aquos was amazing.

My wife and I were the complaints about the Sharp Aquos speaker surprises on board. We watch TV in the room is relatively small, and the noise on board believe regular order on the special effects come from outside the house. The sound quality also depends on the input. I noticed that the best sound out of my HDMI inputs come. I do not have a surround sound 5 speaker system that we can easily from time to time with this series Aquos (the audio outputon the TV), but we found it to be little reason, other than the true blockbuster science fiction or action movies used. Most of the time we use the speakers on board and keep the volume at about a quarter of total production is stopped. There is a lot louder. Much further and we would to our ears (and possibly damage the speakers).

INFORMATION –
A great fit for a medium sized room where the spectators 8-10 meters from the screen are. Do not worry about the"Dynamic contrast ratio. The HDTV is the best in the" Standard "mode (have more" life-like "seen as all HDTV I). If you want an HDTV with colors more true and a flexible menu for the average user, I recommend this TV. If you do not believe me, go into any store and compare the actual color of the Sharp Aquos at one of its competitors. This criterion is what ultimately sold us on this TV. You'll see what I mean.

Not happy with this purchase – Stephanie Manley – Houston, TX
I bought this TV a few months ago, and has had from day one problem with the brightness of the colors. My screen regardless of the AV mode, it is dark, then light. If it is a night scene, he pushes all black, and you can not see. So I thought that this is not fair, and went down to my Sharp TV. So far, they have put in a new board, and he did not become better. I called again to say hey Sharp, my TV does not work properly, and they told me to pay my AV controls. Thus, thisis not effective, and basically does not allow you to watch TV in different AV modes observed.

I was tried by a representative of Sharp in the older generation of television, said TV, adjust the contrast by itself, and although sometimes it is fundamentally wrong, and you just have to put up. You do not know that they like now, but if you have an older model, too bad. Seriously? I think the picture on the TV stinks when you view a DVD, play a game or watching TVthis issue by acts of all time. I will do it well, not one other Sharp product buy again until I have exhausted other model ever made.

My advice if you really want to get a Sharp TV or a new generation prepared to have problems with contrast, and never see really, a night scene on your TV.

Picture is distorted – A. P. Carr –
Now, I keep hearing good things, but you have to buy today, I am not impressed at all. If the store is to open on Sunday, he comes back in the morning, just as the image quality is so bad.

It distorts terribly. If the camera in a room, you see things like doors or windows, or change the faces of the people, their form.

At first I thought it was a conscious kind of effect the film that I saw them as the views of a wide angle lens. Then, when the filmended, you know what? This was not the film, it's television. Well, maybe I'm the "bad" cable or something, but I see no excuse for such distortions. The image quality is worse than our old CRT set.

Speaking of cable, we can not watch DVDs, because it has the connectors on the back for one unit at a time. Of course there are many other connections, but our two satellite box and DVD player uses the same red, yellow and white cable. The C stack can not manage a number of these cables.Rather than buy more cable that I want to buy another TV. Oh, one other thing, spent an hour or more digging around the house to suitable screws such as screws for the stand to find was not included.

I am deeply impressed. I must add that I have not, which makes on Amazon, but I doubt it is a difference. I'm online to see if there is a known solution or if it is a common problem.

Good picture good price – Jeff – TN, USA
I bought the previous generation of Sony TV model (some other external / remote, if not exactly the same) and after about 10 months by a few pixels from dying, tells me that is a consequence of the LCD TV I do not know whether Generally this is true it is the only model I ever heard. Long story short, the company I bought the TV because it is "to replace dead pixels" (regardless of amount) fell under the terms of the warranty, and they gave the new version of this modelthis TV (Sharp Aquos LC32D44U 32-inch LCD HDTV 720p). Again ~ 10 months later, 1 or 2 points out. I think I'll learn it (it's barely noticeable, except to accept close to the TV at 720p resolution). I also think that the volume is not quite as high as I want, probably due to the small speaker on the bottom of the TV. After setting 30 (60), it does not seem to get much stronger. Even if from a blow to a bright realityDark One (in a movie or TV show), the screen's brightness adjusts accordingly, and I have not figured out how to fix this problem depicted. Apart from that I think TV is very, very controlled and options for customizing the various function menus big. Awesome pictures 720th Easy to use remote control. Many ports in the back for multiple systems / devices connected to it.

The TV is compatible with everything from standard 480i to 480p, 720p, and full 1080i HD pictures (built-in image scaling adjusts 1080i signals to match the set’s 768 horizontal lines). Compatible PC inputs range from 640 x 480 to 800 x 600, 1,024 x 768, 1,280 x 720, and full 1,366 x 768.

Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p or 720p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.

LCD screens offer a number of benefits over CRT monitors and televisions, including general ease of use, freedom from eye strain (no screen flickering or radiation emissions), quiet operation (no high-pitch “flyback” noise, an issue with CRT TVs), image geometry (no curvature distortion or susceptibility to magnetic interference from, say, speakers), screen life (no risk of image burn-in), space savings, and light weight/easy positioning.

The set boasts not just TrueLife video enhancement, but award-winning Faroudja DCDi (Directional Correlation Deinterlacing), as well, a video processing technology designed to eliminate jagged edges and provide a clearer picture. The LTV-32W1’s exceptional 8 millisecond response time (the time it takes the screen’s pixels to update themselves with fresh data) delivers crisp images for fast-action moving video and video games. The set also displays the broadest possible range of colors and–with its 550 cd/m2 brightness–produces vibrant images in almost any lighting condition.

Westinghouse Digital’s single-tuner PIP (picture-in-picture) feature lets you watch any source as your main image and some combination of sources as a secondary image atop each main screen. PIP functions include positioning, sizing, image swap, and audio swap.

Connections include 2 component-video inputs (both SD), 2 composite-video, 1 S-video, 1 RF, and 1 PC (RGB). A headphone jack fosters private listening. The set gives you stereo audio (with 9 watts per channel) from inputs or broadcast programming.

The set is “frame ready” so you can attach a Westinghouse Décor frame to match the furnishings and style of any room in the house.

Died after three years – BywayJ – Ithaca, NY United States
I bought this TV for Christmas 2006 and was happy with him for the first two years. We have not connected to cable or satellite, it is used only for watching DVDs and is connected to a computer to watch streaming movies. Shortly after the warranty expired it started problems. First, it would not reliably enable or disable the switch or remotely. We would occasionally come to us to turn it off. Finally, he did not have to work together.

Westinghouse customerService was terrible! They suggested that it was unlikely to be repaired. Best Buy will not be useful unless an extended warranty was purchased. This TV has been used less than 10 hours per week, so it is very frustrating for her trash can after a short time. I think that most customers expect from their investment in a flat-screen TV last more than 3 years and 2 months. I will never again buy a product from Westinghouse.

Will never buy Westinghouse again! – A. Hensler – Madison, WI
If the TV does not exceed two years, and the screen goes blank just begun. Like other commentators, turning the TV off and back on solved the problem at first. Well, when the screen goes blank, and must be switched off for much longer time before it works again. to fix the price of the problem is that television is a value. My brother has a different model from Westinghouse and has been for six months or more and the same is happening with its TV channels. Westinghouse is garbage!Do not buy!

Westinghouse TVs break – K. Ruddy –
We purchased a Westinghouse flat screen TV about two years ago. It was about two thirds the price of other models. We thought the image quality not as good, but we are not serious viewers, while the price is breaking huge for us. Now we are there and the thing turns OFF mode will not turn on again for several minutes. Shell a little more money and get a TV from a manufacturer of quality. We are anxious that we had.

Weigh the price with the length of use – Mark – Houston, TX USA
I had the LTV 32W1 3.5 years now and so far I've had no problems and I really enjoyed the TV. Photo of Brittany and easy to use. I bought it as an open item at Best Buy back May 2006 for just under $ 800. The TV has recently been showing the symptoms of what everyone describes. The TV is the 15-20 minutes, then vacuum. I was told by Westinghouse that it is a ration card or a card failure and the one or other of these problems oftenWith this TV. at Westing house until it cost to send to send $ 225 +. You can try to repair it yourself, but the games will run about $ 100 to 130. Just something to think about when you think considering purchasing this TV.

Not even sure why I write this comment, because I believe that the model was discontinued. How to Amazon for most of my comments, I write when I'm bored and do nothing. This is no different.

I bought this TV in 2005 and I think it was a completely new model at the time. It worked wonders for me in the last four years I have heard. Met at a time, has a great picture, many connections on the back, SRS sound effects, and it is veryEasy to install with many customization options. My experience is good with this TV.

But this is the last Sony product I ever buy. I was with the handling of the whole Sony DRM / rootkit fiasco in 2005 in disgust. You have absolutely nothing about him and not even admit to blame. You are an arrogant company and my understanding of their customer service sucks. I feel really bad for people who have bought this TV to discover that broken shortly after. I am notMinutes doubt their claims of terrible customer service when trying to solve the problem. Since the purchase of this TV, I did not buy, another Sony product and keep this promise until the day I die. Sony in their arrogance can not exceed a few people care "defected", but if enough people stop buying their products, I think she will get the hint.

So in summary, this TV is dead on accurate data, but the company, the television will never make a penny of my money.

Sony KV-32FS120 32-Inch FD Trinitron WEGA Flat-Screen CRT TV Specifications

Sony’s high-value KV-32FS120 32-inch WEGA television packs a wealth of video technologies that guarantee sharp, vivid pictures from a range of sources. The set’s FD (flat display) Trinitron WEGA flat-screen technology delivers high image accuracy, wide viewing angles, and corner-to-corner detail with no geometric image distortion. The visually flat FD Trinitron tube minimizes annoying glare from light sources, enhancing contrast. Squares are square, straight lines appear straight, and circles are truly circular.

One of the KV-32FS120’s coolest features is its 16:9 enhanced mode, which delivers maximum picture quality by concentrating all viewable scan lines within a letterboxed image–wasting none of its horizontal resolution on rendering the black bars that border a widescreen image.

Clear Edge VM wideband velocity modulation improves definition at picture edges, creating sharper images by slowing the CRT (cathode-ray tube) beam’s horizontal scanning during demanding work–say, when rendering transitions from light to dark parts of an image–and speeding it up when scanning easily rendered sections, like broad dark areas.

The set’s digital comb filter removes blurred edges between colors and reduces dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character’s striped T-shirt), while magnetic quadra-pole technology reduces “beam spot” distortion and improves corner-to-corner focus and picture sharpness.

Program Palette presets offer combinations of picture settings engineered to make the most of specific entertainment types. Settings include vivid, standard, movie, and sports. Channel fix lets you select a specific TV channel (3, for example) for cable box reception. Then you can control a compatible cable box via the TV remote without inadvertently changing the TV from Channel 3.

Top-of-the-line component-video inputs (Y/PB/PR) minimize digital and line-scan artifacts from compatible video sources, while standard composite- and S-video inputs accommodate all DVD players. A coaxial RF input accepts a feed from an antenna or an older VCR or cable box. Choose from 2 sets of rear AV inputs and a set of front AV inputs for extra convenience when hooking up a camcorder or gaming console. A rear AV output offers fixed-/variable-level analog audio outputs for hookup with a surround receiver.

The set produces stereo audio and BBE sound enhancement with 10 watts per channel through built-in speakers.

Other video technologies include auto white balance (which establishes the picture’s tint, or hue, by adjusting sensitivity to red, green, and blue light, resulting in truer whites), Dynamic Picture Processor circuitry, tilt correction, Trinitone color temperature control, and vertical aperture compensation (which sharpens picture definition and edge detail on the vertical plane). You can label the set’s video inputs and channels for easy selection.

Go ahead and move into the new millineum – Duan Carter – Jackson, MS
I used to work for Best Buy in the department of home theater. If there was one thing I hated was an old couple (Ages 68 up) and provided my way in search of a TV. I would still try to convince them to take a look at the new flat-screen TV – but they would always go to this dinasour! Do not get me wrong, he has a good picture, sound OK, but there is one, but! It weighs a ton Frank! OMG, it's so hard!

I have a 50 "Sony XBR LCD and I suggest that something with ease throughme. This thing that you need a crane!

Great, if you don’t end up with blinking lights – K. M. Strong – Monterey County, CA
I bought this TV in 2005 or 2006, ended after 11 years, our old hand-me-down ProScan to work one day. This TV has done a very good picture, decent sound, but it is a huge Frikk 32 "CRT, so what you expect. Since the first day we brought him home, it would be the strongest * * ** bzzzoowwwn tone if you have done and make sure all the lights in the house for a dark dry apart. which, it was perfect. … Until he started with the blinking problem in 9 of the last week or two. Periodicallywill simply not start and the standby LED blinks 9 times … and bad luck for you, no TV. Now I'm learning through online research I need to replace the advice 60000000000 $ up to $ 100 (and if I do it myself) if I want to work my TV again.

For the price I have for this monster that many years ago, I can buy a nice LCD flat screen TV, paid for, and hope does not arise the ire of the blinking lights.

Customer Reviews

I purchased this TV used $ 650 from a local dealer, because I bought a PS3 a few months ago and I must say, I'm addicted to this beautiful TV.

I have my computer, PS3, HD receivers in conjunction with this 32-inch screen, but I could not be happier. Although a little too big for a monitor, the resolution is very clear, especially watching Prison Break and 24 in HD = )

I do not want to get an American brand, because I often had badExperience, and I'm happy with Samsung. Although I am not able to offer, leading brands like Sony, Samsung is much more affordable and offers exceptional quality for the money.

I would recommend to anyone, without hesitation. The only drawback is to have all the entries in the back. could I wish they designed an HDMI cable or input record on the page.

Samsung’s DNIe™
Samsung’s revolutionary DNle™ (click for demo) technology offers digital perfection in naturally presented, crystal-clear images that uncover even the most minute detail.
Motion Optimizer
Fast-moving images are optimized to produce more natural-looking motion, thus reducing video noise or blurring.
Contrast Enhancer
Brightness and contrast levels are enhanced for deeper, richer blacks with greater detail and more natural whites.
Color Optimizer
Colors are reproduced with a more lifelike realism, whites are more accurate, and skin tones are given a more natural hue.
Detail Enhancer
DNIe analyzes video signal elements to produce sharper detail, clearer image separation, and more natural edge transition.

The set boasts a 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution. Its widescreen, 16:9 aspect ratio matches the dimension of most movies and HDTV broadcasts, while its wide, 170-degree viewing angles (horizontal x vertical) ensures everyone in the room will enjoy a great view, even when you’ve mounted the unit on a wall. A built-in brightness sensor automatically adjusts the TV’s luminance for the ambient brightness of a given room.

Onboard 10-bit processing produces 3.2 billion lifelike colors and aids in video signal processing for your analog sources. And with its lightning-quick 12 ms response time, astronomical 3,000:1 contrast ratio, impressive 500 cd/m2 brightness rating, and onboard 3D Y/C digital comb filter (which separates the color signals to minimize dot crawl and blurred edges), you’ll see sharp, focused images regardless of their source.

LCD screens offer a number of benefits over CRT monitors and televisions, including general ease of use, freedom from eye strain (no screen flickering or radiation emissions), quiet operation (no high-pitch “flyback” noise, an issue with CRT TVs), accurate image geometry (no curvature distortion or susceptibility to magnetic interference from, say, speakers), long screen life, space savings, and light weight/easy positioning. They also tend to be more affordable than their flat-panel plasma counterparts, which often (though not always) offer faster response times and higher contrast ratios.

The LN-R328W’s DNIe (Samsung Digital Natural Image engine) offers a vision of digital perfection in natural, crystal-clear images that reveal even the most minute detail. The process involves 4 key enhancements: contrast and brightness (for deep, rich blacks and natural whites), motion (which optimizes fast-moving images to produce natural-looking motion, reducing video noise or blurring), color (for lifelike realism, accurate whites, and skin tones with natural hues), and detail (DNIe analyzes video signals to ensure sharp detail, clear image separation, and natural edge transitions).

Samsung’s patented My Color Control technology lets you control specific colors without affecting the whole screen. Samsung provides 6-color control selections: white, red, pink, yellow, green, and blue. It’s your picture–you decide how it looks. Samsung’s PVA screen permits brighter whites than standard TFT LCDs, as well as deeper blacks and every shade in between.

The LN-R328W makes flexibility a top priority, giving you several preset picture and sound modes (and custom settings for each). The TV also permits color temperature adjustment for warm, cool, or neutral tones, along with 4 onscreen languages to choose from (English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese). Choose one of several preset sound modes (standard, music, movie, speech, and custom) for broadcast through the set’s built-in speakers (10-watts-per-channel x 2).

Connections include 2 component-video inputs (480i/480p/720p/1080i), a direct-digital HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), a PC input (15-pin D-Sub with minijack analog audio), 2 composite-video inputs, 1 S-video input, 1 RF input, 5 attendant sets of stereo (left/right) RCA audio inputs, and 1 stereo RCA audio output. The set’s Anynet (RS-232C) control option simplifies use with other Samsung audio/video components.

Other features include single-tuner picture-in-picture (view 1 TV channel and 1 input source simultaneously), a sleep timer, V-Chip parental control, closed captioning, and an auto volume leveler to minimize jarring differences in loudness between, say, TV programs and their commercials.

What’s in the Box

HDMI port failure – Donna S. Overman –
I had this TV for about two years ago. The image quality was in comparison to my plasma TV fair. This evening, after minimal manipulation of the HDMI cables, HDMI port, has failed. Consideration of the port, it's clear that it is not enough support for the cable to move the cable damaged the HDMI port to prevent. In my opinion this is clearly a design flaw.

Samsung LN-R328W HDMI port failure – P. Cantilo –
I bought two units at the same LN-R328W and were both attached to the wall with the seller, Best Buy. In about 16 months two units developed the same problem. The HDMI port does not appear to spread into the interior of the device, which is a good HDMI connection impossible. Since the units were more than twelve months after numerous complaints, Samsung decided, nothing to suggest the other problem, I propose to help repair white. Do not see this as a design flaw. This is a warning right on two issues: 1) After 12 months you can get any help from Sony. Whether you work for your product and want to be maintained longer, you could use a different brand, 2) into consideration at least based on my experience, the model will be a tendency to fail HDMI port. (See further reports on the sites).

Bought an AOC instead….love it! – P. Livingston – Scottsdale, AZ, U.S.A.
Not a problem with my screen AOC. loooove it! I can not judge without buying it, so that the classification is correct. But I do not want to watch. Decision on AOC.

I like this TV, but it has its problems can be fixed with an update from Panasonic. If the HDMI cable for the picture, it fine, but you have audio problems, such as the sound for a few hours is good, then go wrong. I came to believe a TV, it was television, but come to find that there is a problem that Panasonic does not say until it happened! You need the engineers on this form and send an SD card is the TV upgrade, which should be fixedAudio problem, they say, that everyone thinks that LCD TVs more like a TV picture tube are kind of old, but none are of this TV in a computer and need improvements, such as your computer. Oh, and there is no fee for this patch, Panasonic will send you a free upgrade. I hope this helps others on this LCD TV to buy. Enjoy.
