CRT – (Cathode ray tube): Traditional TV Technology – the standard for television, better overall value – picture quality and cost; big disadvantage is, volume and mass, which increases in size. Plasma display – Ultra-slim High Contrast ratings, "fixed pixel" display: burn size up to 60 inches +, some limitations Display – expensive, high risk; image quality through the inability of the display shown in blackare extremely heavy and fragile quality of the image fade as pixels, many plasma screens are not displayed, HDTV resolutions lost. The evolution continues.
LCD – Liquid Crystal Display: thin, size limits, monitor the right computer, clear picture for static displays; problems displaying moving images, many LCDs are not HDTV capable. The evolution continues.
LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) – improved LCD technology can promise, you keep for future HDTVDisplay; costly production problems continue to occur, the current development.

TV display setup:
Aspect Ratio
The ratio of width to height of a monitor or TVProgram.

Image resolution – 720-p; 1080-I 480-I / P, – and recently started, 1080-S.
Progressive scan – a method of display ( "p" p-720)
Interlaced Scanning – the method display ( "i" in 1080-I)
D / A – A / D –Digital-analog converter and analog to digital —

Enigma Digital TV
As consumers begin their search for information about digital and HDTV, and soon finds out what she seems to be that information is "zero." The attempt to useful and reliable information about what to dorequired to buy a digital TV can be hard.
Try to ask questions about HDTV Basic example, whether the shift from analog to digital television that everyone is obliged to buy an HDTV? Or: What is the difference between SDTV and HDTV, or what is to receive HDTV in your home need? Now compare the different responses you receive, or the lack of knowledge on the part of sellers.
Note: The seller must, orto published information about the lack of capacity of a digital TV, you sell to consumers. This is a government mandate.
In contrast to the other extreme is the continuous flow of "misinformation" and "disinformation". This flow of reliable information has flooded the general public. The path to useful and reliable information is filled with inaccuracies, lies and myths. And this is reinforced by the misleading advertising and marketingList.
For example, here is a question repeatedly confused by consumers on the transition from analogue to digital television:
"Can you tell me if this is true," normal "TV is shut down and all have to buy an HDTV?" I do not think they can do that … But if it is true, when will that happen?
Okay, it's actually two questions …
The answer to the first, of course – no, that's not true. At least not in the way the question ismade. While "normal TV" (ie, conventional analog television NTSC) ends, replaced by ATSC, Digital TV, you do not need to buy an HDTV!
IMPORTANT NOTE: transition requires the FCC analog to digital TV, or does not refer to "high definition television!
Note: If you want to keep your analog TV, you can buy a converter box to your TV display is possible. There are vouchers to finance the purchase on the websitelisted below and is free to print.
This underlines an important source of public confusion about digital television and HDTV. These are two separate concepts, but they are often used incorrectly – as if the words were interchangeable with the same meaning. They are not identical, they refer to two different classifications of television. |
High Definition TV is "digital", but HDTV is only one (1) eighteen (18)"The digital television formats in the ATSC standard specifies.
It is important for consumers to understand that "digital TV does not mean" HDTV.
Digital TV is "standard definition TV – SDTV is – not just HDTV – High Definition Television.

But – Oops!

The numerical difference
The digital TV signals are composed of coded instructions – (the same "blade" of ones and zeros "that your computer works, and revive" CD "and" DVD ") – which are transmitted to the receiver digital (aka : Tuner, Decoder or Set-Top-Box "STB"), which in turn decrypts the code.
A digital TV receiver is not on the signal strength, or what conditions exist between your game are affectedand transmitter. Because the signal reaches the receiver, and the code can be read, digital television is able to reproduce an almost perfect – almost identical to the original, back in the TV studio.
A key advantage of digital broadcasting is in a bad reception a thing of the past. Caught on a basic cable TV is because it provide clear pictures on television, regardless of the location of the viewer. Viewers do not need to constantly adjusting the antenna in an attempt to"Tune-in will receive a weak signal from a remote station, a clear picture. The digital television (DTV) eliminates the" snow "and" ghosting "by the faint signals from distant or blocked transmission towers caused. If the analog TV does not receive a strong signal undistorted tower, you can get an idea not entirely clear.
Weaken both digital and analog television signals and that they continue to stay away from the tower. On an analog TV, the picture slowly deterioratesworse than the distance between the tower and receiver increases. But the image perfectly on a digital set-residence, until the signal is too weak for the receiver to distinguish between (1) and A (0) to disappear completely at which point the picture.
This situation has been described as the "cliff effect" – the picture remains stable until it suddenly "fell" on the screen. This could send Morse code are compared. While the person at the other end there are some pointsand lines are provided, they will be able to read the message. Once they lose the distinction between a point and a shot, they lose the message. Digital TV works the same way, instead of sending to the sending of dots and dashes, are millions of (1) and (0) in a second.
While the TV receiver can (1 and 0) to read, it shows a near-perfect. The bottom line … You will receive a 100% picture quality or anything. What does this mean for viewers of digital televisionnot seek to make a "bad" picture. You either have a picture or not. However, if you receive over-the-air, OTA (Over The Air) broadcasts, it is crucial that the antenna is properly aligned to the source – the transmission tower of the station that you observe.

The HDTV signal is sent to the HDTV receiver Finally, transmitted and displayed on an HDTV-ready TV monitor. But it must also follow the standards for ATSC high definition televisionbecause it is "true" HDTV.
Note: It is more likely that you have bad shows that digital television in different configurations, "High-definition television will not be confronted. True, you can also say that until the TV, one or two criteria, or if is reinforced by the manufacturer, with a patented technology "magic" response, so that it – "almost" – HDTV. Again not true!
If you want to do HDTV, that television you areThe test is really "true" HDTV. How do you know about television – HDTV? To this question with "bit" of TV technology base will be useful answer.

The image you see on your TVThe screen consists of a series of horizontal lines. An electron gun shoots "energy" beam (of light) to create a phosphor coating on the inside of the cathode ray tube, so that it lit up. These hotlines in order to create the image displayed on your TV screen. How they are formed, whose resolution is used, what standards are met, some of the factors that determine the nature of the TV picture that you get to.
Is Resolution. The television image quality displayed on TV screenprimarily the result of television "resolution". In simple terms, refers to the TV resolution, the number of horizontal lines displayed on the screen.
Note – Although the horizontal lines are numbered (in this example), so-called vertical resolution, "because the lines are counted from top to bottom – or vertically. Picture is sometimes in the total number of pixels to express," a product from the number of rows and the number of pixels per line
Why is"Wide-Screen TV DTV standard?
DTV sets sold it in two, "aspect ratio." Aspect ratio refers to the ratio between the horizontal (width) measurement and the vertical (height) of the screen. This ratio is also used to refer to himself as the image is transmitted, and displayed on the screen. The two aspect ratios are used in digital television (4:3) and (16:9). This unit, (4) units wide by (3) units, and (16) Width (9) and units high. Their NTSC analog television is aAspect ratio (4:3), the screen looks almost "square" because it was just a little more width than height. For example, a (4 ') wide would have a height (3').
